Casino Crime Roundup: Off-Strip Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

On Tuesday morning, a car was shot along Las Vegas Boulevard, killing one of the two passengers inside.

An attacker fired multiple shots into the passenger-side window of the automobile while the couple was inside. The crime site, which was located on East Sahara Avenue, is where the unknown man died.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) located the victims. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Although they have not yet disclosed a description of the gunman or a motive for the shooting, LVMPD homicide police were still looking for the culprit as of late Tuesday.

The Clark County coroner's office will probably do an autopsy on the deceased man in order to determine the cause and manner of death and to verify the victim's identity.


Baby Left in a Hotel by Himself

According to authorities, a couple was arrested last week for leaving an infant alone in a hotel room at Bally's Atlantic City.

After a housekeeper found the infant in a crib on Friday night, North Carolina residents Jequan Campbell and Teeah McCall were charged with endangering the welfare of a child. According to the authorities, there was nobody else in the room at the time.

According to Atlantic City radio station WPG, the child was found while the adults were in the casino on the gaming facility.

The New Jersey Department of Child Protection & Permanency was notified of the event.

According to BreakingAC.com, Campbell, 33, was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of hollow-point ammunition. He was also carrying a gun when he was arrested.

At the Atlantic County Justice Facility, he was booked. After being summoned to appear in local court, McCall was released from detention.

 

An SUV crash damaged the Gun Lake Casino building

Early on Wednesday, someone crashed their SUV into the south side door of the Gun Lake Casino in Michigan.

According to Michigan TV station WOOD, the collision happened at around three in the morning and may have wounded the car's occupant.

As of early Wednesday, the south parking lot of the casino in Wayland, Michigan, was closed. Details about the collision have not yet been made public by the local police.
